…to our neck of the woods

Just two miles from downtown Whitefish, our Luxury Boutique Bed and Breakfast sits in the forest, no neighbors in sight, with mountain views and a sense of peace and nature's healing gifts. "Casual Elegance" is our motto.

The Whitefish TLC Bed and Breakfast is just 25 miles from Glacier National Park, the Crown of our Continent, and close to the Whitefish Mountain Ski Area. Whitefish Lake, Flathead Lake and countless other lakes and rivers provide recreational opportunities year round.

Whitefish TLC Bed and Breakfast focuses on the healing tranquility of nature, music, and light. Just minutes from multiple health facilities, it is the perfect place for recoveries, and the transitions in life. Changes in personal relationships, an empty nest, loss of a loved one, and other matters of the spirit and heart are well nurtured and healed here in the shadows of the glaciers. We also welcome small groups or clubs interested in hiking, kayaking, river rafting, golfing, mountain biking, fly fishing, skiing, music events and the many other area activities.

Take your breakfast in the bliss of the great outdoors

Two decks, one off the main dining area, one off the coffee bar and music room provide delightful places to relax and enjoy a healthy informal breakfast. Indoors the bright and cheery dining room is usually filled with rainbows. Sit at the dining table, or at the lumarian granite bar by the fireplace, or at the coffee nook bistro table in the adjacent room.

Relax Outdoors

An outdoor circle is surrounded by rocks and wildflowers. Casual seating, a wood burning fireplace, and nearby hammocks hung between some trees, provide a place to read, relax, or socialize. Enjoy some private isolation, or socialize with new or old friends: The choice is yours.

Meet your hostess

Karen Rae is the third generation of her family in the Montana hospitality business. She grew up in the shadow of Glacier Park at Lake Five Resort, which her family still owns and operates.

Karen01

She is a mother to a son Camas who is an avid mountain biker, and daughter Lindsey, a talented singer songwriter/artist and mother of her three beautiful granddaughters. Karen has two friendly standard poodles, Maestro and Beastro who enjoy their own private fenced yard on the property.

Transitions in life have led Karen back to her roots, and the TLC B&B reflects her love of people, healthy food, and good music. A true "Montanan", Karen is comfortable kayaking the North Fork from West Glacier to Blankenship, waterskiing behind a classic wooden Chriscraft, or sharing family stories of growing up at Lake Five in West Glacier. Karen loves turtles, and you will see lots of turtle items throughout the "Turtle Lovers Chalet". Yes, you get "Tender Loving Care" there as well.
